1898 vintage Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle, serial number 115863. 26" full octagon barrel with full length magazine tube chambered in .45-70 Government with adjustable leaf rear sight and "Nickel Silver" blade front sight. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and rifle buttplate. CONDITION: Fine, with blued assemblies retaining most of their factory bluing with some scattered light pitting and gouging with wear at high edges. Color case hardened receiver is very good with light pitting overall and good colors remaining in protected areas. Stock and forearm are strong with no discernable cracks and retain most of their original finish with scattered gouges and light chips. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand. Bore is dark with sharp rifling.
