A William IV engine-turned gilt-brass and gold-mounted carriage timepiece with seconds and calendar Viner & Co., London. Circa 1835 The case with engine-turned panels to front, sides and top and with faceted columns to each angle, topped by fluted finials, the base with inverted breakfront sides and on faceted tapering feet, the patinated brass detachable rear door with securing screw to the movement back plate and with revolving brass cover for the winding hole, the silvered chapter disc with painted Roman numerals and engine-turned centre, small subsidiary seconds ring at XII, with blued steel moon hands, signed on two gold rectangular plaques VINER & CO. REGENT ST , above the subsidiary silvered day and date dials, with a gold plaque inscribed HANDS and corresponding setting square between, the single barrel movement with vertically positioned plain three arm lever balance to the back plate signed VINER & CO. 233 REGENT STREET London 4 3/8in. (11.4cm.) high to hilt of handle
