Straight 30 inch blade with 17 inch fuller and 12 inch blued and gilt panel engraved with conventional florals and panoplies. Silvered brass hilt comprising: languets molded with eagles and beaded borders; quillon with downturned shell finial; scrolling knucklebow molded with foliage and extending to a laurel wreath held in the beak of the eagle pommel; backstrap partly molded with feathers. Bone grip with fluted and ribbed panels. Condition: Blade with dark patina, areas of pitting and rounded point; the blued decoration largely degraded. Hilt retaining generous amounts of silver plating; knucklebow slightly deformed. Grip with chipping on one side below pommel. See Illustration
