Comprising a single loop brown leather holster with skip stitch border and embossed with repeating crescent-shaped bands, a brown leather cartridge belt with nickeled buckle and three .45 Colt cartridges marked W.R.A.Co. Together with a notarized statement dated 3/24/73 from Sarah E. Carpenter and another dated 10/17/40 from Charles T. Carpenter, both stating that the holster and cartridges were taken from Grat Dalton's body after he was killed in the Coffeyville Raid in 1892. Charles T. Carpenter was the Vice-President of the C.M. Condon & Company Bank in Coffeyville. Also included is a pamphlet The Dalton Raid, a complimentary gift of the Charles T. Carpenter Insurance Agency and autographed by him; a letter from Roderick M La Shelle, who purchased the items from Ms. Carpenter in 1971; a reproduction of the October 7, 1892 edition of the Coffeyville newspaper, The Journal; and various photocopied material on the Daltons. Condition: Leather showing some scuffing, the cartridge belt with partially open seams. See Illustration
