A WELL-PRESENTED AND DETAILED NAPOLEONIC PRISONER-OF-WAR BONE MODEL OF A 48-GUN SHIP-OF-THE-LINE with bound masts, yards with foot ropes and stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, dolphin striker, carved figurehead in the form of a warrior, boomkins, head rails, catheads, capstan, ballustraded well deck with ship's boat suspended over, companionways, twenty guns in stepped bone carriages and other details. The planked and pinned hull with rudder, carved stern and bow decorated and ebony main wale is mounted on two carved chocks secured to display board with glazed cover (overall restoration) , model -- 10 x 13in.
