A well engineered spirit-fired model stationary steam set comprising a brazed copper Babcock type horizontal boiler with normal fittings and railed stairs and walkways and steamline with main stop valve, displacement lubricator and governor butterfly valve to Stuart single cylinder centre pillar beam engine with cylinder 1¼in. bore x 2½in. stroke, inward facing valve chest, studded stuffing boxes, decorative parallel motion with gibbed and cottered drop links and barrelled anchor and radius rods, rod driven feed pump and pipework, barrelled, fluted connecting rod, gear driven Watt governor and linkage and spoked flywheel and gear driven countershaft with spoked belt pulley. Finished in black, green and polished brightwork, the engine mounted on a mahogany plinth, the whole on a simulated black and white tiled floor -- 14½ x 18½in. (36.8 x 47cm.) See Illustration
