A well engineered 5in. gauge model of the Hunslett Engine Company Ltd. 0-4-0 saddle tank locomotive No. 554 'Lilla' of 1891 built by Michael Savage, complete with brazed copper boiler with fittings including twin water gauges, pressure gauge, twin salter safety valves, blower, injector, whistle, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link gear, correctly detailed coupling rod and big end bearings, footplate controlled valve chest draincocks, ratchet operated lubricator, crosshead driven feedpump and shut off cock, injector, whistle, hand feed pump and glazed cab windows. Further details include dummy sanding boxes and whistle, metal covered wooden buffer blocks, riveting, steps, hand and lamp irons. Finished in red, green and black with white lining and polished brightwork -- 21½ x 42in. (54.5 x 106.5cm.) . Boiler certificate valid to 5.12.1995. Note: This model was awarded Silver medal The Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition 1994.
