Percussion blunderbuss built by W&J Rigby (William and John) of Dublin, Ireland circa 1823. Steel 16" funnel shaped barrel coming into a octagon breech and stamped "W&J RIGBY DUBLIN". Back action percussion lock marked "W&J RIGBY" with single trigger control. Walnut plain stock with iron hardware and original looking ramrod. CONDITION: Metal has brown surface patina with light overall corrosion and rust. Wood has dry appearance, possibly being cleaned. Pitted bore with good mechanics.
