A Victorian painted-metal, brass and silvered humidor, circa 1885 By Walter Thornhill & Co., New Bond Street, London In the form of a model stage coach, the central compartment with hinged cover under two padded seats, the brass interior with stamp and patent registration number Rd. 14825 (1884), two cigar-cutter lanterns and a stick holder to the front, match container to the reverse with stricker along the edge, the luggage holder acting as a match container with stricker to the interior, the door stencilled with LONDON AND BRIGHTON and OLD TIMES above, the sides with LONDON, BRIGHTON and STREATHAM, MERSTHAM , on a harness with silvered rims to the wheels 5 1/8in. (13cm.) wide, 5 7/8in. (14.6cm.), 17in. (43.2cm.) deep
