A Victorian oak wall regulator Dent, 33 Cockspur St. No. 24791; Circa 1880 The case of pale oak glazed to the sides and top, the front glass with Dent's original gilt-brass winding shutter, the backboard of oak, the original latches half way down on either side to secure the glazed hood, the base board with an discreet keyhole in the front moulding to lock the case, the front of the backboard with the original bone thermometer scale signed Dent 33, Cockspur Street London , the movement suspended from a cast iron bracket with individual pendulum suspension, the silvered regulator dial signed Dent, 33 Cockspur St. Clock Maker to the Queen. 24791 , original hands of blued steel, the substantial movement with six pillars pinned to the front plate and screwed at the backplate, Harrison's maintaining power, deadbeat escapement with jewelled pallets, the pendulum with gilt wood-rod with steel inserts for crutch piece, original suspension spring block, brass bob with calibrated rating nut; original brass pulley and brass-cased lead weight with blued steel suspension loop and original ebony-handled brass and steel crank key 50 ins. 127 cm. high
