A VICTORIAN CORINTHIAN COLUMN TABLE LAMP, on beaded stepped square base applied with four laurel wreath cartouches, engraved with a coat-of-arms, crest and monograms, fitted for electricity, and with three sockets and flame finial, by William Gibson and John Langman, 1894 27in. (68cm.) high The arms are those of Ovey, for Richard Ovey Esq. (1856-1902) of Badgemore, Henley-on-Thames. He married Clara, daughter of J. J. Broadbent Esq., of Great Horton, but died issue. His arms were granted in 1894, the year the present lot was manufactured
