A VERY RARE LARGE BLUE AND WHITE WATER JAR AND COVER GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1875-1908) Each side of the tapering ovoid body is well painted with a lengthy inscription below a band of wan diaper interrupted by eight bat and shou medallions. The high shoulder is decorated with the five characters, tianxia diyiquan , below the short waisted neck and ribbed mouth rim. The cover has a deep inner rim and is decorated with a five-clawed dragon leaping around a flaming pearl amidst clouds and flames within a circular medallion. 16 1/8 in. (41 cm.) high, wood stand
