A VERY RARE IMPERIAL CARVED RED LACQUER CABINET QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) Of rectangular shape with two low square-shaped drawers on top separated by a gilt-bronze handle, the doors, sides and back each carved with a different flower: plum, lotus, chrysanthemum, narcissus, camellia and poppy below an Imperial poem describing the beauty of each flower written in standard script, all reserved on geometric cell-pattern grounds within key-fret borders, the interior lacquered in black with a wall dividing each side and fitted with two further drawers carved with a diaper ground, the cabinet supported by four L-shaped feet 13 11/16 in. (34.7 cm.) long
