A VERY IMPORTANT RUBY AND DIAMOND RING, BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS The cushion-shaped ruby weighing 13.43 carats to the triangular-shaped diamond shoulders, mounted in platinum and gold, ring size 6¼ Signed Van Cleef & Arpels, no. NY61008 Accompanied by report no. 0602001 dated 6 February 2006 from the Gübelin Gem Lab stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, no indications of heating An appendix to report no. 0602001 stating that 'The natural ruby of 13.43 ct described in the above mentioned Gübelin Gem Lab Report possesses a saturated and homogenous colour, combined with a high degree of transparency. In addition, this gemstone has been spared of thermal enhancement. Such a combination of characteristics is rare in natural Burma rubies of this size. Report no. 46202 dated 31 March 2006 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, no indications of heating
