A VERY FINELY CARVED PAIR OF IMPERIAL WHITE JADE INTERLOCKING RINGS QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY The highly translucent even white material of mutton-fat white tone, cleverly carved as a pair of interlocking rings, one depicting an archaistic dragon biting its tail, with horns, scales and a well defined body, the other a phoenix its head reaching its tail, with wings, feathery scrolls and claws defining its body 2 1/4 in. (6.3 cm.) wide
