A Tiffany Studios Leaded Glass and Bronze Empire Jewel Table Lamp the octagonal shade with repeating geometric designs, stamped Tiffany Studios/NY/1953, the stick base stamped Tiffany Studios/New York/531. Height 26 x diameter of shade 22 inches. Estimate $ 40,000-60,000 Provenance: Purchased by Richard A. Leavitt, Oak Park, IL, circa 1932-1933 By family descent to the present owner Literature: Dr. Egon Neustadt, The Lamps of Tiffany, p. 70 Alastair Duncan, Tiffany Lamps and Metal Ware, p. 195 Lamp in overall good, stable, complete condition. Heatcap with even patina throughout, top pushed in, threaded rod to bottom snapped. Shade in overall good, complete condition without loss to glass, leading having a fairly even dore finish to interior and exterior. Glass with a few tight hairline cracks to lower geometric border. Base in good complete condition with even patina throughout, having a 4 socket cluster with 3 perkins switches and one lubiton switch. One foot with casting flaw to underside, rewired.
