A Tiffany Studios Favrile Glass And Bronze Blown-Out Glass Tulip Lamp, the domed shade with allover pink to red tulips on a martele and confetti glass field, raised on a baluster form blown-out base, set on a circular stepped foot, the shade stamped Tiffany Studios New York 1456-7, the base stamped Tiffany Studios New York D856 with the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Co. monogram. Height overall 24 1/4 x diameter of shade 16 inches. Estimate $ 150,000-200,000 Literature: A similar base can be seen in Alastair Duncan, Tiffany Lamps and Metal Ware, p.247 Shade in overall good, complete, stable condition having an even patina to leading and edges, glass intact without loss, one petal with two tight horizontal hairline cracks, some glass showing striations internally or to one side apparently from manufacturer. The base intact with a fairly even patina throughout, with some minor areas of rubbing, the blown out glass intact without chips, cracks or losses, the switch to top of lamp turns freely and functions, with moderate shelf wear to the base with one area of heavier scratching to underside.
