A three-case lacquer inro Edo period (early 19th century), signed Hokkyo Komin saku kore and sealed Komin and with Hamano Noriyuki on an inlaid gold reserve (for the metalwork) The square-shaped inro decorated in gold hiramaki-e , takamaki-e and kirikane on a kinji ground with a mounted warrior applied in shakudo , gold and copper, the reverse side with scenery of distant hills and with cherry and pine trees in the foreground, the compartments and risers gyobu nashiji , the rims fundame ; with bead ojime 3in. (7.7cm.) long
