A SOUTH GERMAN BRASS-INLAID WALNUT, PARQUETRY AND ENGRAVED BUREAU-CABINET MID-18TH CENTURY The waved moulded scrolling tripartite cornice above a central depiction of Landsberg Castle and a quarter-veneered figured-walnut panel with the Judd coat-of-arms, above a drawer flanked by two further townscapes and two tiers of three drawers with rockwork C-scrolls and locking devices, concealing six further secret drawers, the sides with saints above a scrolled volute with further drawer flanked by a pierced rockwork and C-scroll cresting, the lower section with a tambour roll-top enclosing a cube parquetry writing-surface flanked by downswept shoulders with a C-scroll cartouche and a drawer, the central frieze drawer above a kneehole with lozenge parquetry floor flanked by two tiers of four further drawers, on a moulded plinth and bun feet, with adjustable reading-slope 73½in. (187cm.) wide; 74in. (188cm.) high; 35in. (89cm.) deep
