Lot details Signed Hikone no ju Soten Japan, 18th century, Edo period (1615-1868) The large iron tsuba of marugata shape, the kozuka hitsu-ana with ategane in migakiji shakudo, with some sekigane, worked in very fine iro-e takazogan of gold, silver, copper, and shibuichi depicting to one side crows descending from clouds towards rich autumn flowers and grasses, the verso showing further clouds and a group of sparrows, one of them landing on one of the grasses. Signed to the front Hikone no ju SOTEN. HEIGHT 8.6 cm, LENGTH 8.4 cm WEIGHT 168 g Condition: Excellent condition with minor typical wear.
