A SMALL PALE GREYISH-GREEN JADE ARCHAISTIC VASE SONG-MING DYNASTY, 13TH-16TH CENTURY Made in imitation of a bronze zhi , the vase of pear shape and oval section is raised on a pedestal foot encircled by a bow-string band and is carved around the waisted neck with a band enclosing a dragon on each side separated by whorl motifs on the narrow sides. The semi-translucent stone of pale greyish-green color has some added brown color on one side. 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) high Provenance William S. Arnett Collection, Atlanta, Georgia, acquired prior to 1971.
