A Set of Nine Royal Vienna Style Porcelain Plates, decorated with various figures on gilt grounds within cobalt borders, one showing Marechal Lefebvre, one Donna Bella, one Napoleon, two Madame Lebrun, one Napoleon II as Duc de Reichstadt, one Donna Velata, one Josephine Bonaparte and one Madame Recamier. Diameter 10 3/4 inches. Estimate $ 1,000-2,000 Property from the Estate of a Prominent Midwest Collector Each in good, stable condition. Each printed portrait with painted highlights and signed in gilt by various artists. Plates with varying degrees of rubbing to the gilt, mostly moderate, some a little heaver. Napoleon plate with firing crack to glaze on back. Each plate with shield mark and title to verso. When examined under UV light no condition issued were noted to any plate except the Napoleon example which did fluoresce to about 1/3 of the front and back, suggesting repair. Each with minor to moderate shelfwear to foot rim.
