A scale model of the America's Cup defender Intrepid Anonymous (American, 20th century), ca. 1980 A fine scale model built up from the solid in 3/8" scale with green painted bottom, white topsides and a gold cove stripe. The deck of the model is of veneer and is painted blue. The deck of the model is fitted with a number of details which include: spinnaker pole well, forward hatches, winches, center hatches, traveller, turning blocks, instrument panel in main cockpit, ship's wheel, life rings on aft hatches. The model is sloop rigged with a single mast and boom painted aluminum, stays, halyards and running back stays, and other details. The model is mounted on a pair of brass pillars and displayed in a brass framed glass case with a mahogany base. 29 x 11 x 41 in. (73.8 x 27.9 x 104.2 cm.) cased dimensions.
