A SANCAI-GLAZED FIGURE OF AN EQUESTRIENNE TANG DYNASTY, 8TH CENTURY AD the female rider shown with both arms pendent, hidden within the long, narrow sleeves of her straw-glazed bodice, wearing a long amber-glazed skirt with a green shawl over her shoulders, her face with delicately cold-painted details picked out in black and red and her hair looped in double knots on top of her head, the pale green-glazed horse, well-modeled, with its cropped mane and forelocks glazed amber, standing foursquare on a rectangular plinth with its head turned slightly leftward Height 14 1/2 in., 37 cm
