A printed sheet, sample before printing the book “Kol Aryeh”, novellae by Rabbi Aryeh Leib Charif. [Berlin, 1864]. Talmudic novellae by Rabbi Aryeh Leib Charif Av Beit Din of Gomel reached his grandson Rabbi Shneur Zalman Mendelowitz (1804-1885) emissary of the Chabad community in Hebron [see: Ya'ari, Sheluchei Eretz Yisrael, pages 695-696). During the years he wandered throughout Europe for the benefit of the Hebron community, Rabbi Shneur Zalman gathered approbations from Lithuanian and German Torah leaders and printed them on this sheet with samples of the novellae. Amongst the rabbis who wrote approbations: Rabbi Yisrael of Salant, Rabbi Zalman Ze'ev – The Maggid of Vilna, Maharil Diskin, Rabbi Betzalel HaCohen of Vilna, Rabbi Shmuel Shtrashon, Rabbi Binyamin Ze'ev – son of Rabbi Akiva Eiger, Rabbi Ya'akov Zvi of Miklinberg, author of “HaKtav V'HaKabbala”, etc. In the end, Rabbi Shneur Zalman printed the book in Jerusalem 1866, with other approbations. [4] pages. 39 cm. Fair condition. Stains and wear. Tears with damage to text – professionally restored. During restoration, the leaves were joined upside down.
