A SAFAVID CUERDA SECA POTTERY TILE Isfahan, Iran, first half 18th century Comprising the head and shoulders of an attendant male figure with elaborate blue and yellow striped turban, wearing a turquoise and yellow chequered coat and holding a blue glass bottle, an indigo border to one side with yellow arabesques interlaced with white cloudband motifs, slight chipping around edges, four deep depressions on the underside together with the stencilled black number 506G 9 3/8in.
