A Royal Vienna Gilt Bronze Mounted Porcelain Charger, of circular form painted with a classical scene within a gilt decorated claret border, having a blue beehive mark and set in a conforming openwork frame cast with griffins, ram masks and shields. Diameter 19 1/4 inches. Estimate $ 800-1,200 Property from the Estate of a Prominent Midwest Collector Porcelain intact without cracks. Decoration and gilt bright, having shield mark to verso. Examination under UV light causes the center of the back of the plate (where the mark is) to fluoresce, suggesting repair. Frame intact without dents or losses, having fairly even patina.
