A RARE GE-TYPE CIRCULAR TRIPOD BULB BOWL YONGZHENG SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735) Inspired by Song dynasty prototypes, with very slightly bowed, upright sides raised on three squat cabriole legs, the base of the interior somewhat convex, covered overall with an opaque glaze of pale greyish blue-green color suffused with a network of black ('iron wire') and pale gold ('golden thread') crackle, with a circle of pseudo spur marks on the underside 8 in. (21 cm.) diam.
