A rare, early Märklin US-market clockwork 'American Eagle' Passenger Train, circa 1900 US-outline 0-4-0 Locomotive, Cat. Ref. 1030, hand-painted in red and gold-lined black, with red wheels and pilot (cowcatcher) lined in yellow, without coupling rods and plated steam dome and bell, with bell and brake operated from cab and four-wheel Tender in green-lined black, with loop coupling (F, bell cradle and one hand rail mount soldered, chimney cowl missing, varnish discoloured to one side, some bending to cab roof and tender edges) , with bogie open-verandah hand-painted Passenger Cars with clerestorey roofs, each emblazoned with American eagle and Stars and Stripes transfers - one dark blue lined in yellow, red and dark blue and one orange lined in yellow, maroon and red (F-G, one coupling and two door handles missing) with eight curved track sections
