NAIRNE LONDON , with lignum-vitae eyepiece (threads slightly damaged), the green vellum body tube, with stamped name, the outer body tube sleeve with pink dyed shagreen, graduated single nosepiece, circular sprung stage, stage mounted bulls-eye, circular stage, body tube, stage and walnut base united on two-tier turned baluster tripod supports, over turned brass cased concave mirror, on walnut plinth base with pull out drawer, the accessories including seven lignum-vitae framed objectives, bone slides, talc box, ivory cased lieberkuhn, in fitted pyramid shaped mahogany case, c.1760 - 17½in.(45cm.)high
