A RARE ARCHAIC BRONZE WINE VESSEL, ZUN WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (1100-770 B.C.) The vessel is modelled with a square base, rising up to a bulbous body and a flaring circular mouth rim. The exterior of the body is cast with a band of archaic scrolls with mythical animal masks, interspersed by four flanges. There is an inscription to the centre of the interior. 7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) high
