Daniel Delander Londini Fecit Surmounted by three lacquered brass ball finials on elaborate stepped bases mounted on a pair of carved, stop-fluted gilt-wood columns, the throat moulding further mounted on a pair of carved pierced gilt-wood trusses over a concave moulded edge terminating in a turned cistern cover, the visible tube secured via a pair of lacquered and engraved bands, each decorated with a pair of flowerheads, the two-piece silvered rectangular arched dial decorated to the arch with a pair of birds within engraved foliage over the copperplate signature, the left hand plate carrying the seven weather predictions of "Very Dry-Setld Fair - FAIR- Change - RAIN - Much Rain - Stormy"; the right hand scale engraved with the 28-31 inch scale and marked for Frosty or Fair, Risieing (sic), Falling and Rain, Snow or Winds (cistern cover and glass tube 20th century replacements) 1.07m (3ft 6in) high.
