A rare and early Worcester reeded coffee cup c.1753-54, the flared lobed form moulded with a fine band of ribbing, delicately painted in polychrome enamels with a Chinese lady holding a flower in each hand, standing beneath weeping willow, with a small boy dancing beneath leafy bamboo and a tall vase containing a single peacock feather, with a small scroll handle, some rim faults, 5.2cm high. Another example in the collection of Dr Bernard Watney featured the same figure holding a sword and a flower.
