A Qur'an Bifolium in Eastern Kufic Script on Vellum, North Africa or Eastern Mediterranean Region, late 10th century AD text: surah al-balad (XC), verse 1 to part of verse 6; surah al-buruj (LXXXV), part of verse 19 to verse 22 (end of surah); surah al-tariq (LXXXVI), verse 1 to verse 9; surah al-fajr (LXXXIX), part of verse 23 to part of verse 30 Arabic manuscript on vellum, 7 lines to the page, written in Eastern Kufic script in brown ink, vocalisation in red, fifth verses marked with a stylised letter 'ha', surah headings on f.1b and f.2a in gold with large medallions stretching into the outer margins 10.7 by 18.8cm.
