A Porcelain Dish Arita Ware, Kakiemon Style, Edo Period (circa 1700) With barbed rim and divided into six lobes painted in polychrome enamels over clear glaze with chrysanthemums and plum blossoms within double-lines of underglaze-blue, the well enamelled with a chrysanthemum spray, the underside of the dish painted in underglaze-blue with scrolling foliage and a blue circle outlining the foot ring, double blue lines encircling the foot and three spur marks on base, spurious Ming dynasty Chenghua reign mark in underglaze-blue on base 9 in. (23cm.) diameter
