A Platinum, Ruby and Diamond Art Deco Brooch, in an intricate openwork fan form, containing one pear shape ruby measuring approximately 11.20 x 7.60 x 3.65 mm, 42 calibre cut rubies, 14 round and square mixed cut rubies weighing approximately 0.75 carat total, one trapezoid cut diamond measuring approximately 4.25 x 1.50 x 2.25 mm, one shield cut and two double chisel point cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.23 carat total, two baguette cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.08 carat total, and 80 transitional brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.42 carats total. Accompanied by an American Gemological Laboratories ruby identification and origin certificate number 1083808, dated May 2, 2017, stating Mineral Type: Natural Corundum, Variety: Ruby, Origin: Burma (Myanmar), Heat Enhancement: None, Clarity Enhancement: None. 9.10 dwts. Estimate $ 8,000-12,000 NOTE: The brooch is missing one square step cut ruby near the center base. The rubies contain minimal to moderate inclusions however, they may appear cloudy due to abrasions to the facet junctions.
