A PAIR OF RUSSIAN SILVER CANDLESTICKS AND A CONTINENTAL SMALL COVERED ECUELLE ON STAND, the pair St. Petersburg, 1899, each on partly fluted tapering stem, on center of the circular base and top knop chased with oval enclosed alternate shell and acanthus, with partly fluted urn form socket (drilled for electricity)-- 7½in. (19cm.) high ; the gilt lined molded circular ecuelle with two foliate shell tap handles, the raised cover engraved with monogram and crown, applied three times with paterae centered stylized foliage, topped by ivory oval finial, the circular stand also engraved, all with die rolled rim-- length over handles 9in. (22.8cm.), gross weight 35oz. (4)
