A PAIR OF MEISSEN (AUGUSTUS REX) BEAKER-VASES of flared cylindrical form, painted in the manner of Adam Friedrich von Löwenfinck , in three sections, the flaring tops painted with two exotic birds, one in flight, among trailing peony and chrysanthemum issuing from banded hedges, the bulging central sections with similar shrubs and insects issuing from blue and turquoise rocks and the flared cylindrical bases with a bird perched on a bamboo cane, flowering shrubs and rocks (one with a hairline crack to the rim extending down approximately 9cms. and a minor footrim chip), blue AR marks, circa 1730 37cm. high (2)
