A PAIR OF DIAMOND AND COLOURED DIAMOND EAR PENDANTS Each suspending a pear-shaped diamond weighing 4.03 and 4.02 carats, to the brilliant-cut vivid pink diamond spacer and pavé-set diamond hook, mounted in 18k white and rose gold, 3.0 cm long Accompanied by report no. 1102710467 dated 11 January 2010 and 17168849 dated 15 April 2008 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 4.03 and 4.02 carat diamonds are D colour, internally flawless clarity Also accompanied by a supplemental letter from the Gemological Institute of America stating the 4.03 carat diamond has been determined to be a type IIa. Type IIa diamonds are the most chemically pure type of diamond and often have exceptional optical transparency. Type IIa diamonds were first identified as originating from India (particularly from the Golconda region) but have since been recovered in all major diamond-producing regions of the world. Among famous gem diamonds, the 530.20 carat Cullinan and the 105.60 carat Koh-i-noor, are examples of Type IIa (2)
