(A) NICKEL PLATED COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH BONE GRIPS.

1856 vintage Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver, serial number 59702. 7 - 1/2" .36 caliber octagon barrel with hammer notch rear sight and cone front. Single line Colt New York address on top barrel flat. Matching serial numbers on trigger guard, frame, barrel, rammer, and wedge. Cylinder arbor is serial numbered 4789. Cylinder scene is not visible. 1 piece bone grips. CONDITION: Good as completely refinished with heavy wear and freckling throughout. Serial numbers were restamped when non-factory nickel plating was applied. Safety Pins on rear of cylinder are worn. Bone grips have been sanded, heavily cleaned, and exhibit some age cracking and shrinkage. Action works correctly with a weak hammer spring.
