A NEPALESE GILT-COPPER FIGURE OF SAMVARA AND VAISHYAVAJRAVARAHI, standing in alidhasana on a separate cast lotus-base, moulded with the prostrating four-armed Bhairava, holding karttrika, damaru, gada and kapala , wearing tigerskin and the prostrating Kalaratri, holding karttrika and kapala , wearing tigerskin, Samvara with both hands in vajrahumkaramudra and holding the vajra and ghanta , wearing tigerskirt, mala of severed heads, floating scarf, many body-ornaments, five-leaf tiara with skulls, circular ear-rings, all set with turquoise, lapis lazuli and glass beads, his face with angry expression, almond-shaped eyes, urna , aquiline nose, half-open mouth, the jatamakuta with visvavajra and half-moon symbol, his prajna with the right leg around his middle, both hands holding kapala and karttrika , wearing human bone skirt, mala of severed heads, tiara with skulls, her face with urna and almond-shaped eyes, unsealed, 15th Century 35 cm high (old restoration to upper part of his scarf and her right foot)
