A NAPOLEON III ORMOLU AND PIETRE DURE CENTRE-TABLE ATTRIBUTED TO MONBRO FILS, PARIS, THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY The canted rectangular top with central oval plaque inlaid with a floral and fruit trophy, the spandrels each with fruits, divided by strapwork banding, the stiff-leaf outer border above a pierced apron centrally cast with a sunflower medallion flanked by scrolling foliage, the sides with scallop-shells, the shell-headed cabriole legs entwined with a dragon and joined by a foliate scrolling 'X'-shaped stretcher with central foliate urn finial 29 in. (74 cm.) high; 32 in. (82 cm.) wide; 21¾ in (55 cm.) deep
