With holes for axis pins at the poles, contained in a hinged spherical fishskin case, the interior laid with two sets of twelve hand-coloured engraved celestial gores laid to the celestial poles, the equatorial graduated in degrees but unlabelled on the northern half-set of gores, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with sigils, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures, the stars to more than three degrees of magnitude, the rims of the case painted red. 3 in.
