The guards and centre gorge feature Chinoiserie figures, and swags of flowers. The double leaf features a ball game between two young men using small bats. A lady observes, a small boy sprawls on the grass to the side, and two men are present in the background. Outside a house to the right, a table is laid with refreshments.
