A MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO CAPTAIN RALPH LEWIS PRATT - 4TH GLOUCESTER REGIMENT. Ralph Lewis Pratt was born in Pontnewydd, Monmouthshire, in 1875, the son of Edwin Woodhall and Rosa Pratt. His family were employed in boot manufacturing; his father had set up a factory in Kingswood, Bristol, in the early 1880s. Ralph served as Chairman of the Bristol and Kingswood Boot Manufacturer Federation.
