A Meissen (Marcolini) part tea and coffee-service Circa 1785-90, blue crossed swords and star marks, various Pressnummern Painted in purple camaïeu with figures in extensive wooded river-landscapes with buildings and animals within gilt ribbon-tied circular and oval cartouches with garlands of coloured flowers and with scattered coloured flower-sprays, within borders of gilt interlocking circle ornament, the branch handles with coloured flower and gilt foliage terminals, the covers with gilt foliage and purple bud finials, comprising: A large baluster coffee-pot and cover (crack from spout to base beneath handle, slight chip to spout and finial) A baluster hot-milk jug (chip to base of handle) A circular sugar-bowl and cover (slight chipping to finial) Six teacups (wear to gilt rims) Six coffee-cups (two handle terminals chipped, wear to gilt rims) Twelve saucers (one with large chip and associated crack)
