A Meissen Chinoiserie bullet-shaped teapot and cover Circa 1735 Painted in the manner of Johann Gregor Höroldt with Chinoiseries, one side with a seated figure amusing a baby, the other with a man stirring a steaming bowl and a seated figure with a pipe before tables and fences on a terrace with flowering plants above a band of moulded and alternately gilt and Böttger -lustre gadrooning, the wishbone handle and bird's head spout enriched in purple and gilt, the border with a band of gilt scrolling foliage, the flat gadrooned cover with artichoke finial (very slight wear to gilding on interior rim), blue crossed swords marks, gilder's numeral 9r. to both pieces, indistinct Pressnummer 4 3/8in.
