CIRCA 1740-45, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS, DREHER'S THREE DOTS MARK TO ONE CORNER OF BASE
A MEISSEN BLUE-GROUND RECTANGULAR TEACADDY AND COVER CIRCA 1740-45, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS, DREHER'S THREE DOTS MARK TO ONE CORNER OF BASE Each side reserved with a quatrefoil panel painted with figures in wooded and river landscapes with distant churches and buildings, one with a bridge and another with figures by an elaborate tent, within elaborate gilt strapwork and scrolling foliage cartouches with panels of hatching, the flat shoulder with ombrierte Holzschnitt Blumen , the cylindrical cover edged with a gilt band, the top with a similar vignette and cartouche (cover with large D-shaped loss to rim, very slight wear to gilding) 4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) high
