A MEISSEN ARMORIAL CIRCULAR DISH FROM THE SWAN SERVICE modelled by J.J. Kändler and J.F. Eberlein for Count Brühl, moulded with with two swans swimming on rough water among shells and fish beside two clumps of bulrushes and a heron with a fish in its beak and another in flight above, the whole surface with spirally fluted shell moulding, the border with the Arms and scattered indianische Blumen within a shaped rim enriched with gilding (slight rubbing to gilt rim between 3 o'clock and 4 o'clock), blue crossed swords mark, Dreher's mark of a quartered circle and two lines, circa 1737 30.3cm. diam.
