A mahogany eight-day longcase clock Thomas Humber, Bristol, 18th/19th century The four-pillar rack and bell striking movement with 12 inch brass break-arch dial with scroll engraved calendar aperture and subsidiary seconds dial to the matted centre within an applied Roman numeral chapter ring with fleur de lys half hour markers and Arabic five minutes, the angles with bird and urn pattern spandrels beneath silvered boss signed Thos. Humber, Bristol between dolphin cast mounts to arch, now in a parquetry banded arch-top case with shaped crest above fluted pilasters and wavy-edge door to hood, short trunk door flanked by quarter columns, on tall plinth base with bracket feet, 215cm high.
